This 4" Square RGB TTL TFT Display offers an impressive resolution of 720x720 16-bit full-color pixels, utilizing IPS technology to ensure excellent color accuracy at up to 80-degrees off-axis. The model also features a capacitive touchscreen overlay, making it an ideal choice for the tech-savvy user.
The driver for this TFT display is the ST7701S, which allows for both TTL RGB dot clock data input. Unlike other displays, the Square RGB TTL TFT Display does not require SPI pre-configuration to start - instead, it pops up in RGB mode, making it an ideal choice for users unfamiliar with this new 'beast' of a display. However, users should note that although the Square RGB TTL TFT Display has a 40-pin connector, its pinout is not the same as standard 4.3", 5" or 7" rectangular displays of 800x480 resolution, or the 4.3" displays of 480x272 resolution.
An ESP32-S3 with octal PSRAM or a Raspberry Pi with DPI or ICN6211 connection is required to drive a TTL RGB TFT and create lighting effects, which cannot be accomplished with a Feather or Arduino.
This is just the display module! No PCB is included!
